Mamaia Nord Residence
Năvodari, România
The collective housing building is located in Năvodari, on Blvd. Mamaia Nord, in the immediate proximity of the Black Sea, being a tourist area in full development.
The overview of the building is designed around the idea of “minimal”. So, the materials and colors used were chosen to evoke a holiday air. Also, the main facade conveys the arrangement of the apartments, being treated uniformly by juxtaposing plums and voids.
In addition, the contrast is offered by the green areas, located between the apartments, which have the role of providing a visual and psychological filter of intimacy between the neighbors. In addition, the secured glass railing, which is gradient stylized, provides a level of privacy from the public space and gives a volume upward effect.
Last but not least, the placement of numerous apartments on the main facade is due to the desire to give the benefit of the sea view to as many tenants as possible. The apartments’ view opens to the Black Sea through large glazed spaces which manage to bring the image of the natural environment into the interior of the households.
